Uhh. In two days Flash will play his first(?) public StarCraft 2 game. Will he display something amazing? Or will we see a standard high master Terran? Will it even be comparable to what MMA and MVP are showing us right now? I wonder..!

Anyway. The purpose of this post wasn’t to talk about Flash, but to talk about Terran and Protoss. What race to play? such a hard decision that is. Most of all I find it really hard to decide because I easily get tired of playing one race for a short while. But the funny thing is how much you learn by playing the other races, people look at their opponents race and say “Looks so fucking easy!”, no skill noob Protoss!

But playing Protoss is SO hard, I won’t say that Protoss is harder then Terran – because it’s not. It is equally hard, not less and not more skill is required! StarCraft is a really complex game to master, there are so many aspects that you have to keep in mind!

Right now I feel that I have really good understanding of Terran and Protoss. When I play as Terran against a Protoss it feels like I always know what is going on, when I kill 3-4 Probes I can almost feel what way it hurts my opponents economy and what he will have to cut or delay by dying with those Probes. It feels almost the same when playing Protoss vs Terran (economy is hard to estimate because of Mules, but about other stuff!).

It feels like I know how to deny scouting and how to fake stuff better with Terran now against Protoss. I know what I want to scout as Protoss and how I want to react to certain stuff. So when playing Terran I can show my opponent what he wants to see and then do something else. One good example of that is gasless expand, a very common strategy by Terran. As a Protoss player I am very happy to see my opponent go gasless expand, because then I know that I can get my one gate expand up easily and then work on my economy. I can even put some pressure and hurt my opponents economy without cutting my own economy.

The solution to this problem for Terran (in my oppionion) is to always make gas between 13-15. If you want to go for a “gasless expand” simply stop mining gas at 50 and add a reactor to your first Barracks. Now your opponent won’t know if you are going for a quick expansion, Banshee, 1-1-1, 2 rax or 3 rax. Now our opponent is forced into a situation that he doesn’t feel comfortable with.

Except for my understanding, my Terran macro is MUCH better now when I played Protoss for a while (because Protoss macro is harder then Terrans, you learn to focus more on your production cycles). I almost never miss Mules, upgrade timings and production cycles anymore with Terran… And after playing Protoss for a while I no longer fear Colossus, because I know were Vikings are strong and how to use them. I also have a lot better understanding of how a Protoss army is positioned and how it is forced to move and split to be safe against drops.

Like the other day I was playing on Shakuras against a Protoss with Colossus and HT’s. I knew exactly what to do to forces his HT’s out of position and then snipe them with a few Marauders, same goes for sniping Colossus with Vikings! The hard thing for Terran is still upgraded Zealots, they are insanely hard to deal with, haha!

Anyway. I am ponding upon if I should strictly play Terran on one of my accounts and Protoss on the other, or if I should try to play TvP, PvT, PvZ. The problem with wanting to pick race is when playing ladder, since you can’t decide what race you want to play against. Or If I should play Random on my inFKaeru account and play Zerg on my other account for a month or so to see what I can learn by playing Zerg… I really don’t know!

I’m by the way a very, very patient guy when it comes to reaching goals. I don’t mind if it takes me 1 month or 3 years to be high GM, eventually I will get there! I haven’t given up yet!

Hmh! Funny. How after a long time of anticipation a meeting can turn into such disappointment. Well, never mind, dust blows away by the wind! Bye!

“If losing things is for picking them back up, then parting is for meeting. After ‘Goodbye’ certainly we will meet with a ‘Hello’. I want to lie down in the green grass; I want to fly trough the great sky…”.

There are so many things that I want to do, things that I want to see and experience. And there are things that I want to leave behind and remember as distant memories, anyhow, my time in Sweden is coming to it’s end. I just decided that I will move to Thailand in January 2013, I will rent an apartment in Bangkok and use that as a center point for my expeditions.

I want to go to northern China and and practise Shaolin Kung-Fu in temples, I want to climb the mountains in south-west of China and visit Shanghai in east. I want to see the great culture of this country and feel the history in the soil.

I want to discover the amazing spirit of Thailand, I want to visit the villages and learn more about buddhism. I would like meet a lot of people and listen to their stories. I want to see the jungles with my own eyes and dive in the ocean.

I would like to go to Korea and play StarCraft together with the pros and practise Taekwondo with great fighters. It would be great to meet or just watch some of my childhood inspirations play StarCraft live…

To visit Japan again and see all the crazy things that goes on there. I want to go to Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia to discover business opportunities. I most likely want to move one of my companies to Malaysia or Singapore soon so I have to go there anyway!

Burma, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Laos, Vietnam and Philippines. I want to see it all. I want to meet strong people that do what they can to survive. Most of all I want to learn to know myself better…

I don’t have any reasons to stay in Sweden anymore, I can do the same work from Thailand. I can play StarCraft and practise Taekwondo from there, the difference is that my living costs will decrease by a lot and I can experience what I always wanted.

Lots of work and Taekwondo since I came back from asia, I’m king at spending money… Spending money means that I need new money to be able to survive. Here is short list of some of my spendings the last 30 days:

- My trip cost me about €3800.
- When I came home I bought a Wacom Intous5 Touch for €370.
- My tattoo cost €650.
- Running shoes and clothes for €220.

Mh, nice. €5040 in a month (parties, restaurants, rent and such not included). Maybe I need to look over my expenses…

Update: Ahhhhh! Finally finished with tonights work (05:00 in the morning).
I just need to make sure that I get up in a few hours to do the rest!!!

AHH FUUUUUCK! There is this thing I’ve had on my mind for such a long time. It’s hard to gasp it and explain it, but I can feel it. I’ve tried to write this post so many times but I always end up deleting it. Ahh shit…..!!!
